Congratulations for investing in your health with Eat Well Tracker.

This app is different than other diet apps in that you won’t be counting calories or points.

Let’s get started on how to navigate the Tracker.

STEP ONE

Setting Goals

The first screen you’ll see after you log in is the Main Page.

To get set up, let’s set your goals.

You can choose your own goals or use ones suggested by your nutritionist or physician. Alternately, let the Tracker pick for you! These guidelines are based on the US Department of Agriculture standards.

STEP TWO

Logging Food

Once you’ve set your goals, you’re ready to start logging your food.

Select a date and pick your meal.

Let’s start with breakfast. Click the Breakfast icon.

To start logging your food, simply click “+ enter food”

Click Select a category – Meat and protein, vegetables. Fruit, Dairy, or Bread

As an example let’s click meat

Then select your serving.

This is an area that might be confusing at first, but once you use it we know you’ll be a pro.

Remember, we’re not counting calories, or points. You don’t have to find the specific food that you’ve eaten or scan any codes.

The serving selection list simply provides examples of food in the selected category.

Remember we picked meat to start with? It’s not important that you select the specific meat or protein. You’re just recording that you ate some meat or protein.

If the size seems to large, for example you only ate 2 ounces of pork instead of 3-4, just use a fraction in the quantity area.

So you’ve selected your serving, now enter the quantity. If you ate 3 to 4 ounces of chicken, enter a one. If you only had half that much enter point 5.

If you have questions about the serving size, we’ve provided a portion reference.

After you enter your quantity click add. You may have to slide your screen up to see the add button depending on your screen size.

Let’s add another Breakfast item.

              Click plus enter food

Select your category – let’s use fruit

Select your serving – let’s use 2 large banana

              Select your quantity – let’s use 1

              Click the add button

And you’ve entered another breakfast item. Congratulations.

If you’ve entered all your breakfast items click the back arrow in the top left corner of the screen
